Travelling by train
Get here without stress and traffic jams
You will doubtlessly agree that your ideal journey to the relaxing mountains of Lech Zürs does not include stress and traffic jams. When you stay in our region, you benefit from the excellent railway infrastructure around the Arlberg. The closest two rail stations are Langen am Arlberg and, on the Tyrolean side, St. Anton am Arlberg. Many regional and long-distance trains arrive and depart here every day so that you can start your holidays in the mountains in a flexible, environmentally friendly way. Trains from Zurich to Arlberg’s two stations depart every two hours (journey time: around three hours). Trains from Vienna depart every hour (journey time: around six hours), and trains from Munich depart every two hours (journey time: around three hours and fifteen minutes). Take bus no. 91 or 92 to travel from the station to your final destination – a well-deserved holiday. There are also several private shuttle services, such as the Arlberg Express, which will take you from the surrounding airports to Lech Zürs at affordable rates.

From Germany:
During the winter season, a direct Railjet service runs on Saturdays from Munich to the Arlberg. Departure in Munich is at 2:30 pm and you will arrive at the Arlberg in just 3 ¾ hours.
From Switzerland:
There is also a direct train from Switzerland to the Arlberg every few hours. Travellers who take the Railjet from Zurich at 6:40 am will arrive in St. Anton at 09:01 am. From there, they can easily continue their journey by bus (line 760) or taxi to Lech Zürs and experience a full day on the slopes. Connoisseurs have the option of taking the Eurocity "Transalpin" at 8:40 am from Zurich. Along the way, marvel at the magnificent mountain scenery from the 1st class panorama coach. Return journeys start at 9:00 am from St. Anton every 2 hours.

There’s plenty to see around Lech Zürs
You can reach countless interesting destinations around Lech Zürs by public transport. In summer, for example, bus no. 40a takes you to the lovely Bregenzerwald region and Dornbirn. Turquoise Lake Constance and Bregenz, the beautiful state capital of Vorarlberg, are just a short journey away and well worth visiting as part of an absolutely unforgettable holiday.

When you holiday in Lech Zürs, our Ortsbus local bus is a perfect alternative to your own car. It offers an environmentally friendly and thoroughly relaxing way of reaching all districts of our region, and in the summer, the Wanderbus hiking bus takes you straight to the scenic mountains of Arlberg. The Lech Card, our attractive summer holiday ticket, includes open summer cable cars in Lech Zürs and Warth, an excursion into the idyllic Zugertal valley and other services. In winter, a night bus serves the various districts into the early hours of the morning to help you get home safely and comfortably after unforgettable evenings in Lech Zürs.
Car-free Oberlech – a groundbreaking project
The popular district of Oberlech, magnificently framed by towering mountains, has been car-free from December to April since the mid-1990s. Its innovative tunnel system ensures undisturbed winter magic. Simply park your car at the Anger underground car park in Lech, then take the cable car to Oberlech, located at an altitude of 1,650 metres. Central Lech also offers a car park for electric vehicles with capacity for 23 cars.
