Family summer holidays in Lech Zürs

Hiking, swimming, climbing, playing or discovering nature. Here on the Arlberg, children find their own way to nature.

Children practice skipping stones on the calm mountain lake as they follow the clouds as they slowly pass. The moment seems to have neither beginning nor end – summers in the Arlberg region are quiet and relaxed.

Summer holidays in the mountains

The summit as the objective of a hike is only of importance to children once they have reached it. Along the way, the trail itself has plenty of exciting surprises in store: Animal tracks can be seen in the soft soil, marmots and chamois that can be observed if you keep very still, there are stones in different colours and shapes, and even petrified squid can be discovered along the Rüfikopf mountain’s geological trails.

The great outdoors: adventure is calling!

A summer holiday with your family in Lech Zürs am Arlberg can quickly turn into an adventure holiday – if that’s your thing! For starters, there’s the children’s adventure programme and the outdoor activities offered by the “Arlberg Alpin” mountaineering school. Additional adventurous activities include canyoning, climbing, hiking and many other outdoor activities, which can be experienced together with experienced guides and the family.

Lech Card: Children's adventure programme & family offers

Our children's adventure programme is particularly popular with the little ones during their summer holidays. From Monday to Friday, 5 to 14 year olds set off on a variety of adventures in our mountain environment. From archery to climbing on the Rüfikopf mountain, canyoning or a visit to the adventure camp, everything is included. At the weekend parents can go on adventures together with their children. All this is possible thanks to the Lech Card.

Hiking tip: The Green Ring and The Green Riddle Ring

On a hike along the Green Ring, the whole family is immersed in a modern world of legends and can discover the true meaning behind the names of the mountains and thus experiences the Arlberg region in an unforgettable way. The Green Ring themed trail can be hiked in three stages.

Families with small children can look forward to an entertaining hiking experience on the Green Riddle Ring. Along the tranquil trail from Lech to the Rud-Alpe, numerous stations feature exciting puzzles that require cleverness and imagination to decipher For puzzle detectives of all ages, the thrilling puzzle round comes to an end at the Rud-Alpe mountain restaurant. Once the solution word is solved, the workbook can be tattered to the amusement of the whole group.

The Arlenzauberweg trail

Along the Arlenzauberweg trail, discover the special characteristics of animals and plants at more than 20 fun stations. Informative and entertaining, the small, often hidden treasures along the Arlenzauberweg can be closely examined: from carnivorous plants to true survival artists in the mountains and perfectly organised insect communities! Pick up your research sheet at the Rud-Alpe mountain restaurant and set off on a journey of discovery.
