Ski Touring Camp 2023
From 13 to 16 April 2023, we had the pleasure of accompanying the Ski Touring Camp in Lech and discovering the best ski tours and descents of the Arlberg together with 13 other women and our wonderful ski guides. The conditions in the middle of April for such an experience? Perfect! The first day brought us a load of fresh snow, which is why the ascent for untracked deep snow descents was hardly necessary - a day full of pow(d)er, in other words. This showed us again: the Arlberg is undoubtedly one of the best freeride and ski touring areas in the Alps. The Arlberg is characterised by above-average snowfall and endless opportunities to make tracks in the snow. With short to medium-length ascents, women easily get their money's worth, which was visibly evident. The question of well-being was answered all day long with a simple look into the faces of the women's group:
radiant faces all around!
Fun and further training in harmony
So it was immediately obvious that the fun and the ideal ambience were there. However, safety was not neglected in all this enjoyment! Valuable programme content was taught directly on the mountain in a relaxed manner over the course of the days:
safe movement in alpine terrain was just as much in focus as the correct handling of avalanche emergency equipment. And in between, we were given informal tips on how to improve our own skiing technique as well as our technique in the ascent. As there is a maximum of 7 women per guide, there is enough room for personal feedback and getting to know these extraordinary personalities. Can't decide which female ski guide you would like to accompany and get to know? You don't have to!
The groups are divided according to skiing ability and ascent motivation, and the guides accompany a new group every day: this way we were able to benefit from all their individual guiding styles!
After the tour is before the exchange
Don't worry: there will of course be enough room for a chat or two during the tour. But there is also room for exchange after the tour. While the three to four groups go their individual ways during the day, everyone still ends the day together. Whether it's over dinner or relaxing on the yoga mat.
If you have never been in an all-women's group before, we can already tell you: in this ideal ambience, you will learn something new in a completely unbiased way and definitely develop an even greater joy for skiing. Let us inspire you!
