Turn-by-turn directions

Directly from the starting point at the Rüfiplatz take the free hiking bus in the direction of Oberlech or the Lech - Oberlech cable car and walk to the Schlössle. At the terminus "Schlössle" get off and follow the road, which is still asphalted, uphill on the right. At the first turn to the left of the lookout point Tannegg, turn left and continue uphill past the Grubenalpe. Continue uphill on the gravelly alpine path over the species-rich mowers. You will meet the Kriegeralpe, which invites you to take a break. From here we go uphill for a short distance past the stone wall "Chluppa" and the reservoir on the right. Now follow the alp trail downhill through the Zugertobel, passing the valley station of the Steinähder lift. The lively gurgling of the brook accompanies you on your way downhill until you meet an asphalt road leading to Zugertal. Follow the road downhill left into Zug. From here you can get on the hiking bus at the toll station and drive back to the starting point. Or walk back to Lech via the Lechuferweg.
