Stage details: 1st stage Lech - Oberlech - Kriegeralpe Alpine hut - Zugertobel - Zug (approx. 11,4 km) 2nd stage Zug - Madloch mountain - Madloch Joch ridge - Zürs (approx. 9.2 km) 3rd stage Zürs - Trittalp mountain hut - Monzabonalpe Alpine pasture - Rüfikopf mountain - Lech (approx. 11,2 km) Difficulty level: 1st stage: well suited for hobby runners 2nd stage: requires good physical condition as well as advanced trail running skills. Recommended for professionals 3rd stage: also highly recommended for ambitious trail runners and professionals The transition zones in Zug and Zürs also have timekeeping and control points. These help spectators and fans to keep track of where their favourite athletes currently are as they progress through the course. Split times help keep things suspenseful as the sections can be precisely recorded, commented on and followed.

Equipment
During the competition all heroes and heroines are required to bring the following equipment:
- Trailrunning - Shoes
- Rainwear or overgarments as rain protection
- Warm clothing (top and long trousers or leg warmers)
- Gloves and cap
- Water tank and at least 1.5 litres of water
- Emergency equipment (first aid kit, blanket, whistle)
- Headlamp with charged battery
