Turn-by-turn directions

From the hike starting point, follow the Lech Promenade upstream until you see the Rüfikopfbahn cable car to your left. Take the cable car to the (1) Rüfikopf (2,350 m). At the top station of the Rüfikopfbahn cable car there is a (2) book, in which you can document your visit. Then follow the (3) Geology hike ”Rüfikopf” going downhill towards (4) Monzabonsee Lake. From there, continue downwards to the (5) Monzabonalpe. Shortly before crossing the Pazüelbach stream, you will see the very special (6) Hüttenbibliothek library. You can select a nice book here, read for a while and relax. Then continue along the wide alpine path, past the valley station of the Trittkopf lift and onwards, ascending slightly until the path leads steeply downhill all the way to Zürs am Arlberg. When you reach Zürs, you can take the hiking bus back to the starting point or you can take a little detour and visit the European watershed. To do so, follow the road through Zürs until you reach the Trittkopf lift. Here, a pasture trail winds through the grazing pastures alongside the river towards the Flexenpass. When you reach the Flexenpass, cross the street and you will find this impressive installation right next to the Flexenhäuslhouse.
