Danceable synth-pop with 80s charm

Since 2014, ANKATHIE KOI has been a cornerstone of the Austrian music scene, armed with a voice capable of handling anything thrown her way. Always ahead of the curve in pop music trends, Koi predicted the 80s revival with her track “Kate, it’s hunting season” back in 2014.

The artist masterfully translates the glam looks and synth sounds of that iconic decade into the 21st century. Pulsing drum machines and synths define her sonic palette, but Koi never fails to surprise with fresh, unexpected twists.

Her 2024 album, “Pikant,” delivers nine tracks brimming with love, passion, and worldly wisdom, all packed into irresistibly danceable three-minute gems. Wading deep into the carefree aesthetic of the mid-1980s, she sidesteps retro kitsch with ease. ANKATHIE KOI spells POP in capital letters and makes the world a brighter place.
