Khun Sinsamut, owner of the Sri Sang Dao Thai Hom Mali Rice brand, will present the special features of his award-winning rice:
Sri Sang Dao has won the "World's Best Rice Award" seven times. Khun Sinsamut is fully committed to sustainable agriculture and thus founded the project "The Srisangdao Direct Seeding Village" in the Thung Kula Rong-Hai region to improve the living conditions of local rice farmers. In this area in the northeast of Thailand the best, finest and most fragrant rice grows due to the perfect natural conditions. Therefore, this is also the first Thai product registered by the EU as a "protected geographical indication".
At Hotel Gasthof Post, Chef Michael Rieger is creating a special rice dish especially for this week. The Thai Minister Counselor Khun Onanood Phadoongvithee holds a lecture “Thai Craftsmanship - Thai Spirit” in the context of the Rotary Table on Friday, 17.3. at 16:30 o'clock. Subsequently a rice tasting is offered.
