Road closure to St. Anton am Arlberg

Dear Sir and Madam,

The B197 Arlberg Pass road from Tyrol to Vorarlberg is currently completely closed. Travelling to and from Lech Zürs am Arlberg from and to the west is possible.

According to the police, the Arlberg Pass road was heavily washed out and the lane in the direction of Tyrol was destroyed. The road was torn away shortly before the top of the pass and one lane is missing.

As ASFINAG announced in a press release this afternoon, the duration of the closure of the Arlberg Pass road is ‘not yet foreseeable’. The only alternative route is via the Lechtal valley or Germany.

Status: Saturday, 17.08.2024, 6 pm

We will inform you again tomorrow about the current status.
