Family Adventures in Summer

As we all know, the best adventures always take place outdoors! And what could be better than spending time with your loved ones in the fresh air and experiencing adventures? Lech Zürs offers numerous nature adventures for the whole family. We have put together 10 of them for you.

1. The Green Riddle Ring

The Green Riddle Ring is a walking riddle fun for the whole family. Equipped with a lovingly designed workbook, the young and old detectives set off on their journey. On the creatively designed path from Lech to the Rud-Alpe, exciting secrets have to be solved at numerous stations. The tour ends at the Rud-Alpe, where an extensive water playground awaits the little detectives.

2. Barbecue in the forest camp

The fire crackles in the fireplace, the rushing of the river can be heard and the sweet smell of grilled meat flows through the air. What could be more beautiful than barbecuing with your loved ones after an adventurous hike together in nature? The Waldcamp is located in the Zug Valley, right next to the Lech River. While the sausages are being grilled, the whole family can cool off in the cold river Lech.

3. Arlenzauberweg & Dragonfly Lake

The Arlenzauberweg leads from the top station of the Oberlech mountain railway over the small, hidden dragonfly lake, past beautiful flower meadows on the Schlegelkopf to the Rud-Alpe. The hiking trail holds numerous magical treasures for the whole family. At over 20 stations, special characteristics of animals and plants of the region are presented. A worth knowing nature adventure for the family.

4. Forest swimming pool Lech

The forest swimming pool, idyllically situated in the forest between Lech and Zug, is one of the top 3 family adventures in Lech Zürs. The new forest swimming pool features a 25-m sports pool, an aquafit pool with bubble loungers and massage jets, a children's pool, a baby pool and a wide wave slide. Fun for the whole family in the middle of nature is therefore guaranteed.

5. Archery in Oberlech

Feel a sense of Robin Hood? Yes, you can also do that in Lech Zürs. Equipped with bow and arrow you have to master the archery 3D course in Oberlech. Skills, concentration and endurance are required. Hiking and hunting for wild animals, which are made of synthetic material and can be hunted in the traditional way. Whether alone or with the guides from Arlberg Alpin – a special fun for young and old.

6. Canyoning in the wild Lech

From the summer of 2020 Arlberg Alpin will offer exciting adventures for the whole family in addition to the children’s program on weekends. Family canyoning is on the program on Sunday and Tuesday. Here, deep turquoise-green water pools are swum through, natural slides are slid down, high waterfalls are roped down and people jump into lonely pools. More natural adventures are not possible. And the all this is even included in the Lech Card.

 

7. Climbing at the Rüfikopf

Climbing is also on the exciting family adventure programme this summer, which Arlberg Alpin offers in addition to the children’s programme. Every Monday, the family climbing at the Rüfikopf takes you high up the mountain. Climbing, securing and abseiling are explained in a playful manner. Both young and old are introduced to the sport in the fresh air and in the midst of a fantastic mountain scenery. Fun for the whole family.

8. Kneipp and Stone Men building on the Lech

The Lech riverbank path,  which leads from Lech to Zug, is ideal for a family walk. Past the forest swimming pool you come to a small Kneipp facility. Who manages to stay in the Kneipp pool the longest? After a refreshing cool-down, you continue on the family-friendly hiking trail, along the Lech river, in the direction of Zug. On the riverbank there is always the possibility to build one or more stone men.

9. The Green Ring

During the three-day stage hike of the green ring, a lovingly created, modern world of legends is traversed by young and old alike. The trail leads over mountain ridges, through valleys, past mountain lakes and rivers that rise and hide around Lech Zürs. But there is even more hidden up there: Mythical creatures and their legends, fascinating stories and installations – created especially for the Green Ring.

10. Fishing in Zug

Another nature experience for the whole family is the fish pond in Zug. It has been a meeting place for anglers and hobby fishermen since 1976. Experienced fishermen offer tips for the whole family on how to catch fish straight away. Lures and fishing tackle can be rented. On request, the fish you catch yourself can be prepared and eaten there. In addition, a playground is waiting for the little fishers.
