Arianna Occhipinti is a Sicilian winemaker who produces natural wines from local grape varieties such as Frappato and Nero d'Avola. With biodynamic methods and a focus on sustainability, her winery epitomises the authentic terroir of Sicily. In addition to wine, she also produces olive oil and regional specialities to preserve the biodiversity and cultural identity of her homeland.
Moritz Herzog was a sommelier in Vienna and a winegrower in Roussillon in the south of France. After travelling and meeting natural wine pioneers, especially in France but also in Austria, he felt the need to become a kind of mouthpiece for natural wine growers and, as a final step, a wine importer and wine merchant. This is how Weinskandal was born.
In December, we welcome them to our Rote Wand Chef's Table. Julian Stieger and his team will be cooking a tasting menu consisting of around 15 small courses. Arianna and Moritz will be pouring their wines.
