The Underdogs – Out of the shadows

Wineries have flagship wines – outstanding and well-known. These represent quality, complexity, and longevity. In the shadow of these iconic wines, the "small great wines" often become a niche. Unjustly so, as this tasting will prove, because here too, all the attributes that define great wine are more than present.

Together with the wineries Perrin and Jurtschitsch, we explore wines and vineyards whose potential is underestimated, yet which represent fantastic additions to any wine list, regardless of its size.
