Turn-by-turn directions

Bike: By bike from Lech to Zug and further along the asphalt road past the Gasthaus Älpele to the Formarinsee and further along the gravel path to the Freiburger Hütte.

Hike: From the Freiburger Hütte at an altitude of 1,931m you continue on foot. From there, the path leads eastwards to the "Saladinaspitze" turn-off. From here the path leads south through a green high valley to a small yoke with a view of the Fensterlewand, a hole in the rock face that resembles a small heart. The trail continues through a large rock field and over a narrow ridge to the Saladinaspitze at 2,238m. From the summit you can see the Klostertal and Montafon. The Rote Wand and Gehrengrat are also clearly visible. The same path leads back to the Freiburger Hütte.

Bike: By bike along the same path back to Lech.

Public transport

Take the train to the train station Langen am Arlberg or St. Anton am Arlberg. From there, buses (no. 750+760) run at regular intervals to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

Getting there

From Germany: Take the A 96 to Bregenz, from there take the A14 to Bludenz, continue on the S16 to the Lech Zürs am Arlberg exit. Take the B197 through Stuben over the serpentines to the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

From Switzerland: Via the A13 and the border crossing at Feldkirch, Hohenems or Lustenau on the A14 to Bludenz. Continue on the S16 to the Lech Zürs am Arlberg exit. Take the B197 through Stuben over the serpentines to the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

From Austria: Via the Inntal motorway A12 and further via the S16 to the exit St. Anton am Arlberg (Arlbergpass). Follow the B197 first through St. Anton, then through St. Christoph and over the Arlbergpass to Alpe Rauz. Here turn right onto the B198. Through the Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass you reach Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

Parking

You can either park your car directly at your host's or in the underground car parking Anger. The underground car parking is located directly in the centre of the village opposite the Raiffeisenbank Lech.

Equipment

Good shoes (ankle high, profiled sole), rain protection, Lech Card and bus schedule.
