Bike & Hike: Lech - Formarinalpe and around the Formaletsch
Turn-by-turn directions

Bike: By bike from Lech to Zug and further on the asphalt road past the Gasthaus Älpele to the turn-off and on to Formarinalpe.

Hike: From the Formarinalpe first in eastern direction a short distance towards Lech. Then the path branches off to the right to the Steinernes Meer. Before the hiking trail ascends to the Gehrengrat, turn right and follow the path to the Freiburger Hütte. The path on the eastern shore of the lake requires surefootedness, a head for heights and good footwear. With smaller children it is better to use the wider gravel path.
