Jaz Delorean, a London-based British singer and charismatic, flamboyant frontman of the acclaimed European touring band Tankus the Henge, also performs solo at the piano. His repertoire is impressively diverse and eclectic. He draws inspiration from the bar-room piano players of the Old West, New Orleans-inspired swing, and boogie-woogie, blending them seamlessly with the mournful melodies of his Cypriot heritage and the party spirit of Blockheads-style music.
His piano-driven songs weave together comic and tragic tales from his upbringing in a traveling funfair, creating a unique tapestry of sound and storytelling.
As a solo artist, Jaz fuses the soulful undertones of New Orleans jazz and blues with vocals reminiscent of Louis Armstrong and Tom Waits, delivering unforgettable melodies. His electrifying performances are unlike anything else—both deeply moving and irresistibly fun.
