But be careful! To ensure maximum safety, it is advisable to explore the off-piste terrain only in the company of experienced ski guides. Skiing for advanced skiers: Extreme ski route - Langer Zug ski run
The Rüfikopfbahn cable car at 2,350 m will transport you to the starting point of this famous 4.7-km “Langer Zug" ski route, which, depending on the weather conditions, is groomed daily by the cable cars and then opened. Those bold enough to take on this ski run on the Rüfikopf mountain in Lech should have good skiing skills as well as a good dose of courage. The Langer Zug ski run is one of the steepest groomed ski runs in the world. With an impressive gradient of 80% in the upper third, it’s one of the true highlights of the ski resort!
The route starts at the Rüfikopf panorama restaurant via ski route 181 and continues to ski route 215, which transports skiers to the entry point of the steep gully in the Langer Zug. Descending here requires skill and precision, as the slope does not forgive mistakes! After successfully completing the route, you’ll arrive at the Schlosskopf lift, which will take you back to the Lech ski resort area. At the end of a thrilling day, skiers can unbuckle their skis directly at the Schlosskopf daytime car park. What an adrenaline rush and unforgettable experience for experienced skiers in the Arlberg region!

What´s the best way to arrive at the ski resort?
Lech and Zürs are located at 1,450m above sea level in the Arlberg region and are accessible via the Flexenpass road. Please always check the latest road report. All towns in the region are well connected to the Langen am Arlberg railway station and the St. Anton am Arlberg railway station as well as to the Zurich, Munich, Memmingen, Friedrichshafen and Innsbruck airports. Locally, the blue local buses facilitate relaxed and carefree transport without a car. The bus timetable is flexible and optimally adapted to the frequency of guests.
